Technic Chamotte clay

Zigzag Family stands at the intersection of design and sculpture. This collection of objects explores the relationship between function and expression, between daily use and artistic gesture. Each piece emerges from a single constructive principle: working with slabs of chamotte clay. This technique gives rise to a formal language built on rhythm.
In contrast to the standardized surfaces of industrial production, these zigzags embrace the irregularity of handcrafting. Here, material takes shape through the gaze and the gesture, rather than the machine.

Project developed in collaboration with ceramic artist Emmanuelle Roule.
