Colorama is a wooden composition game designed to spark children’s curiosity about the interplay of color, shape, and texture. By fitting pieces together, children become creators of their own play surface. By handling the pieces, they discover shades and volumes while developing their motor skills and sense of observation. Presented in a wooden box, the game can be expanded with various kits inspired by the Centre Pompidou’s collections, opening the door to new visual worlds.

Developed in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, the project reflects a broader exploration on introducing art to early childhood. Through play, it fosters an encounter between art and the child.

The concept also unfolds at a life-size scale: the shapes become modules to walk through, assemble, or climb. Children move within an immersive installation, extending the tabletop experience into physical space.
