In Béthune, in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, L’Envol Association has repurposed a former supermarket into a creative community hub. Committed to social transformation through art, including theater, dance, and singing, it supports around fifteen young people in a reintegration program.

Within this initiative, food has emerged as a powerful tool for fostering community and participation. Mealtime has become a key moment for connection and exchange, especially valuable in a neighborhood where access to diverse and affordable food options remains limited.

Each week, the young participants cook and share meals together, exploring new ways to collaborating and organizing collectively. This hands-on teamwork inspired a practical solution : a custom-made board designed to streamline weekly meal planning.

The board brings together days of the week, menus, shopping lists, and task assignments. It highlights collective choices, recurring habits, and the evolving practices of the group, making dynamics visible and encouraging dialogue. The project forms part of a broader reflection on collective engagement, where cooking and shared meals become grounds for social and artistic experimentation.
