These baskets are handmade from rush or myrtle, in collaboration with the basket weaver Natalina Figarella. Vert d’Orezza stone is integrated both as a decorative element and as part of the object’s structure. Each bead is made from leftover stone fragments, which are cut and then polished by hand.

This object is a proposal for revaluing waste materials generated by the extraction of Vert d’Orezza stone. The aim is to reuse discarded pieces of stone by giving them a new place within everyday objects.

The project relied on local craftsmanship, with the intention of creating pieces using Orezza stone while giving a new value to production offcuts.
